Dr. Liane Porepa is a staff cardiologist at Southlake Regional Health Centre and Southlake Heart Function Clinic. Her practice consists of community-based general cardiology with a focus on advanced heart failure and valvular heart disease.

Dr. Porepa has experience in the management of patients with rare forms of cardiomyopathy (ie. cardiac amyloidosis, cardiac sarcoidosis, chemotherapy-induced cardiomyopathy, and peripartum cardiomyopathy). She has particular expertise in the care and management of patient’s with left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) and critical care cardiology. In addition to general cardiac imaging, she performs right heart catheterizations (congestive heart failure and pulmonary hypertension), endomyocardial biopsy, and diagnostic coronary angiography.

Dr. Porepa received her medical degree from the University of Toronto (2006). She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto (2006-2009) and Cardiology Residency at the University of Western Ontario (2009-2012). She subsequently completed a fellowship specializing in Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiac Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio (2012-2013).
